Management

Chris mearns | Founder & Chief Technology Officer

With a career spanning Electronic Engineering in the North Sea through to wrestling the money markets of London, Chris moved to Australia quickly finding his true home in IT with a strong inclination towards the Cyber Security discipline.

Founding Murdoch Webster in 2006, Chris has steadily grown the company through an absolute focus on delivering technical excellence across Core Infrastructure and Cybersecurity disciplines. An active CTO, Chris enjoys the daily challenges of driving client success across Murdoch Webster’s client base, all whilst keeping abreast of emerging technologies that deliver the next great productivity leap for growing businesses.

An accomplished sportsman of days gone by, Chris tackles each weekend splitting time with the clan cheering his youngest son on as he tears up and down the basketball court, cheering on his beloved Melbourne Storm (Championship replays included) or relaxing over a round of Golf.

Whilst not a hard and fast rule, Chris has been known to do his best work wth a nice glass of red in hand.

Michael Fisher | General Manager

Michael is an entrepreneurial soul having held executive roles in some of Australia’s fastest growing ICT companies.  He has worked alongside some extraordinary ICT alumni and is thriving taking those insights to Murdoch Webster customers and partners. He most recently spent 4 years as the Director of Commercial Channels A/NZ at Palo Alto Networks before joining the MWTG team in February 2019.

In a career spanning 20+ years Michael has come to realise 3 things really matter to him – people, culture & integrity. Be genuine on those fronts and teams thrive – customers, partners and our own crew alike.

When he isn’t working Michael can be found spending time restoring/modifying/fixing/spending too much $ on a car project or two (don’t tell the better half!). That is of course when he isn’t driving his son all over Melbourne for weekend sports or pondering the latest Carlton Football Club misstep.

Michael dreams of one day competing in the Peking to London rally in a car he builds – let’s hope this ICT thing continues to work out.
